Musical Director Vacancy

Milton Glee Choir is seeking to recruit a new Conductor/Musical Director. We are a well-established SATB choir of approximately 60 to 80 singers who this year will be celebrating 75 years of performing in the Portsmouth area. We perform many varied styles of music from choral pieces, selections from musicals, modern popular pieces and many more. We have several concerts booked for this year ending with our Christmas concert in December at Portsmouth Guildhall with The Royal Marines Association Concert Band. We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, energetic, fun-loving person who is able to lead, inspire and grow Milton Glee choir in both musical ability and numbers. A person with professional experience in leading choirs of mixed abilities together with being a competent pianist (although we do have an accompanist for rehearsals and concerts) would be the ideal, but not essential.
